PUBLIC JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
1. Public vacancy announcement for the following positions:
1.1. One employee for a Type I position – Research Associate in the system of science and higher education, on a fixed-term contract until 31 December 2028, for the implementation of the project NIBNIP: Novel Nutrient Sources from Brewing: Technology Innovation and Functional Beverage Development, full-time employment, with a six-month probation period.
1.2. One employee for a Type I position – Senior Research Associate in the system of science and higher education, on a fixed-term contract until 31 December 2028, for the implementation of the project NIBNIP: Novel Nutrient Sources from Brewing: Technology Innovation and Functional Beverage Development, full-time employment, with a six-month probation period.
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
a) For the position under item 1.1:
- Completed university graduate study programme or integrated undergraduate and graduate university study programme, or professional graduate study programme, or an equivalent level of education according to previously applicable regulations (Croatian Qualifications Framework level 7.1.univ. or 7.1.prof.), in the field of: Natural Sciences (Chemistry), Technical Sciences (Chemical Engineering), or Biotechnical Sciences (Food Technology or Biotechnology).
b) For the position under item 1.2:
- Completed university graduate study programme or integrated undergraduate and graduate university study programme, or professional graduate study programme, or an equivalent level of education according to previously applicable regulations (Croatian Qualifications Framework level 7.1.univ. or 7.1.prof.), in the field of: Natural Sciences (Chemistry), Technical Sciences (Chemical Engineering), or Biotechnical Sciences (Food Technology or Biotechnology).
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in the same or similar positions is required.
2. Candidates applying for the vacancy must submit:
- Curriculum Vitae (CV),
- Copies of all relevant diplomas,
- Copy of citizenship certificate, identity card, or other proof of citizenship,
- Certificate containing data on previous employment history recorded in the official records of the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute (HZMO) or a similar foreign institution,
- Residence and work permit for the territory of the European Union (e.g. EU Blue Card) and the European Economic Area (EEA), if the applicant comes from a country that is not an EU member state.
3. Applications are open equally to persons of all genders.
Candidates invoking the right of priority in employment pursuant to the Croatian Homeland War Veterans and Members of Their Families Act (“Official Gazette”, Nos. 121/17, 98/19, 84/21, 156/23), in addition to proof of meeting the required conditions, must also submit evidence of exercising the right of priority in employment under Article 103 of the Act, available on the website of the Ministry of Croatian Veterans:

Candidates exercising the right of priority in employment pursuant to Article 9 of the Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities Act (“Official Gazette”, Nos. 157/13, 152/14, 39/18, 32/20) shall prove this by submitting an appropriate public document confirming disability status, based on which the person may be entered into the Register of Employed Persons with Disabilities, as well as proof showing the manner in which employment with the previous employer ended (decision, contract, agreement, etc.).
Candidates exercising the right of priority in employment pursuant to Article 48.f of the Act on the Protection of Military and Civilian War Invalids (“Official Gazette”, Nos. 33/92, 77/92, 86/92 – consolidated text, 27/93, 58/93, 2/94, 76/94, 108/95, 108/96, 82/01, 94/01, 103/03, 148/13, 98/19) shall prove this by submitting a decision or certificate confirming the recognized status from which such right is evident, a certificate of unemployment issued by the Croatian Employment Service during the validity period of this announcement, and proof showing the manner in which employment with the previous employer ended (decision, contract, agreement, etc.).

5. The application deadline is 8 (eight) days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette (Narodne novine).
